Compensation Manager-Total Rewards

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Total Rewards team, the Compensation Manager will primarily ensure that compensation programs and processes are administered, maintained and integrated effectively on a global scale in accordance with business goals and direction. The Compensation Manager will need to develop strong relationships with key leadership positions as well as HR Business Partners in order to be successful. This position has oversight to merit, short and long-term bonus programs, sales compensation and other ad-hoc reward programs as needed.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the company’s domestic compensation function while coordinating processes and methods across the global business.
  • Manage Compensation function’s cost, quality and effectiveness through related KPI’s and metrics.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to the Compensation team.
  • Collaborate with internal business functions to ensure that reward programs are effective and aligned with business objectives while meeting all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze current function and impact of Compensation programs using data and recommend future areas of focus/improvement.
  • Support development and implementation of Compensation strategy.
  • Manage and build effective relationships with external service providers (consultants, survey/data providers, outsourced service firms) to ensure the right “mix” of capabilities and information while effectively controlling costs.
  • Monitor HR Information System integrations and processes to ensure data and payroll accuracy, compliance and certainty.
  • Represent the Compensation function and ensure the coordination of related programs with overall HR activities as a key member of the Glanbia Performance Nutrition HR team.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in a broad range of compensation principles and programs, including federal, state and local compliance.
  • Expertise in compensation administration (experience with multiple platforms and structures a plus).
  • Experience and understanding of international compensation practices and principles.
  • Expertise in project and vendor management.
  • Strong analytical acumen with intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, If-Statements).
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels, including high-level management.
  • Ability to create strong, positive working relationships.
  • High-level of flexibility in past-paced environments.
  • People management with the ability to successfully guide, mentor and grow teams/team members.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or other related field required.
  • 6+ years’ compensation experience required.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing people and leading teams required.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • CCP or other professional compensation certifications a plus.
  • Benefits or Total Rewards experience a plus.
