Digital Marketing Manager

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and leading the digital marketing strategy and campaigns for Optimum Nutrition and BSN brands.  Key objectives will be to drive brand penetration, increase conversion, and build consumer advocacy.  The role has the ability to influence and lead the creation of branded content and control the media investment required to drive traffic to our branded websites and social platforms.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Define the paid media and online traffic generation plan (Customer Acquisition and Customer retention) and investment to grow unique site visits and re-target unregistered users.
  • Liaise with brand team to define the search, PPC and social budgets to link with defined consumer target groups and existing digital paid media buying strategy.
  • Work with agency and brand team to manage all consumer targeting and programmatic buying.
  • Generate awareness and trial of brand, product portfolio, and NPD utilizing clear CTAs to ultimately convert.
  • Drive continuous improvement in paid media spend: increase CTRs and optimize CPC on an ongoing basis.
  • Link with all advocacy, events and sponsorships in the market, ensuring URLs are present and accessible on and offline.
  • Generate customer retention strategy, including regular email marketing communications alongside specific trigger campaigns responsible for post campaign analysis and continued optimization (e.g. open rates, conversion rates, customer list selection)
  • Responsible for planning digital marketing campaigns across key channel touchpoints: website, social media platforms, paid media, D2C, email, and SEO/SEM
  • Develop KPIs and regularly report against stated goals across each channel
  • Regularly optimize approach and execution against goals to increase efficiencies and ROI.
  • Analyze/synthesize data, generate insights and provide recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
  • Manage and direct all social media platforms including:
  • Partnering with in-house creative to develop content strategy, creation and copywriting
  • Managing monthly posting calendar across paid & organic ensuring activity is linked across agency, D2C, influencers, athletes and events.
  • Working with experiential team including social influencers and athletes to drive reach of key messages across each brand by creating content that engages specific consumer audiences.
  • Liaising with global marketing teams to align on key messages, campaign launch windows and global vs local content to define full year digital marketing strategy
  • Plan, implement and manage the online content strategy for brand websites.
  • Define and implement all product information templates adhering to brand guidelines. 
  • Partner with D2C sales to define optimal offer communications that optimize conversion rates.
  • Link promo initiatives to social media and connected platforms.  
  • Liaise with the brand team to create/mirror content for key brand campaign messages as well as athlete content and offer communications structure associated with them.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  •  Minimum 5 years experience in digital marketing including managing paid media and exposure to e-commerce environment
  •  Strong record of managing brand & social strategy and agency relationships
  •  Experience in product information creation and display
  •  Experience in managing paid search and budgeting for optimised spend
  •  Customer acquisition and retention strategy and initiatives
  •  KPI setting and measurement.
  •  Experience in standard setting and influencing cross-functionally
  •  Passion for the sports nutrition industry
  •  Self-starter, highly motivated and ambitious

 

Education/Experience:

  •  BA/BS Degree preferred
  •  Other CPG/retail/consumer focused industries preferred
