Global Insights Manager

General Summary: In conjunction with the Director, Global Innovation & Insights, the Global Insights Manager is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of  consumer insights plans that will drive and achieve the business objectives of the Glanbia Performance Nutrition brands globally.  Key areas of responsibility include project management, execution of consumer insights research and budget management.  Additional opportunities may arise to support new product development projects as needed.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with key brand constituents to assist in the development, execution, analysis & deployment of consumer insights research.
  • Partner with agency partners to execute key consumer insights initiatives including qualitative and qualitative primary research. 
  • Uncover meaningful insights from secondary research sources, including syndicated data.
  • Assist in the management of online consumer community, including designing and programming consumer surveys and analyzing results.
  • Participate on cross-functional team to support new product launches.  Ensure key learning plan milestones are successfully met on time.
  • Closely monitor and report on category and consumer trends with the ability to assess key marketing opportunities and threats.
  • Candidate should already have an existing passion for the sports nutrition/fitness/wellness category.
  • Perform day-to-day business management activities, and executes other projects or activities as requested.

  • Strong leadership skills in managing/influencing teams and implementing key business initiatives.
  • Results oriented with high level of initiative and assertiveness.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills.
  • Ability to comprehensively understand and convert consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into actionable plans and recommendations.
  • Ability to translate qualitative and quantitative findings into compelling presentations.
  • Self-starting problem solver who effectively uses fact-based rationale.
  • Organized and responsive.
  • Strong data and analytical skills.
  • Exposure to P&L and forecasting a plus.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

 

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years prior marketing, consumer insights and/or consulting experience a plus.
