Marketing Assistant

The primary responsibility of Marketing Assistant is to organize, coordinate, and support activities centred on requests from the International Region teams and assist centrally-driven Marketing initiatives.  This position will gather information and requirements from other cross-functional team members, track project activities and escalate any breakdowns in process or timing. In particular, the Marketing Assistant will have primary responsibility over all aspects of international NPD, renovation and relabelling projects.  This role is a great opportunity to get exposure to multiple projects, teams and markets within the marketing function.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Region Marketing teams on Brand initiatives spanning Packaging Design, Portfolio Management and Innovation. This includes primary responsibility over International NPD, renovations, and relabelling projects.
  • Lead bi-weekly global cross-functional meeting to ensure all regions have the most up to date information on project status.
  • Serve as global marketing liaison for frequent ad-hoc requests from regions, incl. requests for creative assets, Business Objects data pulls, Consumer reviews analysis, etc.
  • Serve as global marketing liaison for NA ON Marketing team for any global consideration with relevant North America NPD, reform and relabel.
  • Work with North American Marketing, R&D, regulatory, supply chain, etc. to ensure new formulas are globally compliant where necessary and communicating to regions.
  • Responsible for procurement requisitions, invoices, plate requisitions, as well as any additional global creative invoices.
  • Gather International forecast estimates for NPD.
  • Work with the Education & Advocacy Senior Manager to support education initiatives.
  • The varying nature of this role is such that there will be a requirement (workload dependent) to take on the managing of new and emerging projects on an on-going basis.


Education and Experience 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a related role.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Ariba are helpful, but not necessary.
  • Understanding of project management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Genuine interest and excellent knowledge of the category, its products, usage occasions, target market, trends, etc.
  • Cross-functional and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and clearly establish and maintain priorities.
