Project Manager

The Project Manager (PM) partners with the Brand Director to structure, lead, and deliver complex initiatives globally.  The PM directs team activities, facilitates effective team communication, develops timelines, identifies risks and mitigation plans, facilitates project team meetings, drives issue resolution, and communicates milestone status to the Steering Team.  The PM’s primary Brand Marketing initiative centers on planning & implementing a brand-wide packaging redesign across +500 products globally, in partnership with Supply Chain, Creative, Sales, and Finance.

 

Key Skills Required:

  • Have previously held a role within Supply Chain function or has held roles that required partnering frequently with supply chain function to execute projects (i.e. Packaging Material/Equipment development, Procurement, Supply Planning, Manufacturing)
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Direct role experience managing complex, broad-scale projects
  • Expert team building, problem solving, & conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in processes for managing and mitigating project risks
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Experience holding project teams and individuals accountable for delivering against plan

  • Project & Change Management experience (discipline, organization, planning, attention to detail, and communication tools)
  • Effective communicator at all levels and good presentation skills
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, and self-sufficient with ability to cope with pressure and comfort with ambiguity
  • MS Office proficiency, including MS Project and Visio
  • Organizational agility

 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Brand Director to define and document project scope, goals, deliverables, timetables, success factors, and resources that are required from all functions to execute the project activities.
  • Partner with Brand Director to develop, maintain, and leverage project plans and timelines to drive team to execute project launch effectively and efficiently
  • Proactively identify project interdependencies, conflicts, risks, and critical paths and leverage to direct project team activities to mitigate
  • Plan, facilitate, and/or attend standing cross functional project team meetings to enable project status updates, resolve issues, and drive progress against tasks and deliverables
  • Maintain project documentation in organized fashion including the issuance of team meeting agendas & minutes
  • Ensure that project scopes and timing take into consideration minimizing waste (raw materials, pack and finished goods write-offs)

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of business experience, including 2+ years of Project Management experience in CPG industry
  • Previous roles in one or more of the following technical areas within CPG (R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc...)
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules with demanding/tight timelines
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including expertise with Microsoft Project
  • Project Management – External certification (PMI, PMP, APM, IPMA, etc.)
