The Marketing Assistant is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, reporting to the Brand Manager on the Optimum Nutrition brand.  The primary responsibility of this position is to organize, coordinate, and support activities surrounding product & packaging development.

 

This position will gather information and requirements from other cross functional team members, track project activities and escalate any breakdowns in process or timing.  Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple projects and must demonstrate good organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

 

The Marketing Assistant needs to effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team. 

 

Required Skills:

  • Set up cross functional meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
  • Manage projects through the product & packaging development process
  • Analyze project plans by using project management tools
  • Communicate effectively and accurately all relevant project information to the project team/Director
  • Create & Monitor timelines to ensure efficient, on-time delivery
  • Organize & Maintain Project Tracking Log
  • Evaluate & manage contemplated changes to project timelines & risks
  • Robust planning skills to accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks, objectives, and goals Manage cross-functional project teams for packaging changes, activation-marketing programs, and product reformulations.
  • Create reports that analyze business trends, competitive activity and region performance.
  • Perform day-to-day business management activities, and executes other projects or activities as requested such as invoicing, product orders, etc.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability for multi-tasking, attention to detail, accuracy of figures/mathematics

 

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting project management
  • Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products. SAP experienced Preferred
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
