Job/Project Summary:

  • Responsible for enforcing Quality Program procedures and company established policies regarding the powder process and storage, of all goods manufactured at the 948 and 600 ON Aurora facility.

  • To develop skills to work effectively within formal and informal networks and work cultures.
  • Analyzing data and documentation associated with food safety programs.
  • Exposure to the quality and food safety segment of the food industry

 

Expected Outcomes:

  • To clearly understand the food safety management systems from a quality standpoint.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the process flow from raw materials to finished product and recommend improvements by participating on the below tasks:
  • Enter results into a computerized system, track and report results (GP/SAP/MS Office programs).
  • Prepare and perform basic organoleptic tests on finished goods and raw materials.
  • Prepare and/or collect samples for laboratory testing.
  • Pull retain samples and assist with investigations.
  • Perform essential Food Safety checks on prescribed frequency.
  • Conduct audits per SOPs on prescribed frequency.
  • Write procedures and work instructions where needed.
  • Perform investigations for Root Cause Analysis where necessary.
  • Participate in the investigation of customer/consumer complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned per Quality Management.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • In the process of completing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Food Science, Microbiology, etc.)
  • Experience and/or potential to develop a career in the food industry (Health/Supplement/Nutritional Food preferred).
  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (development, implementation and education).
