The Sales Analyst, Amazon will be responsible for managing and maintaining the catalog and content for over 1,000 products on Amazon.com. In partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Creative departments he/she will ensure the correct digital assets are used for all product description pages, distributed and uploaded for new item innovation, and base assortment enhancements (lifestyle images, mobile ready hero images, hero claims badges, and video content). This role is critical in supporting new product launches and key promotional periods.

 

The Sales Analyst will utilize technology platforms for catalog management and work cross-functionally with our Creative, Marketing, Sales, and IT teams to ensure that all content and catalog data is kept up to date, accurate, and meets industry best practices:

 

  • Drive the development of best-in-class product detail pages (PDPs) that drive optimal SEO discoverability, traffic, and conversions for an Amazon product catalog of over 1,000 SKUs.
  • Lead reporting and actionable insights to drive best in class product detail pages. Reporting responsibility includes but is not limited to: sales and category share, digital shelf share of voice, traffic and conversion analytics, and product detail page analytics.
  • Coordinate the deployment of Amazon content (A+, B+, Brand Stores,etc.) for new products, keep existing products optimized, and provide key stakeholders with visibility on both content integrity and performance.Lead Retail Business Service (RBS) case management through resolution with Amazon when issues arise. RBS case management responsibilities include but are not limited to: resolving food safety complaints, fixing product twisters, updating product browse nodes, reporting trademark/ IP infringements, and correcting product detail page content.
  • Lead new item set up and product discontinuation process on Amazon.
  • Lead the strategy and set up for key promotional events including Prime Day, New Year New You, and Cyber 5.
  • Perform regular audits on product detail pages (PDP) to continually assess the content accuracy and efficacy. Create optimization plans to increase product rankings/ sales and manage through resolution.
  • Work with the Ecommerce search team to understand the keywords shoppers use for our categories/ products and optimize PDPs with relevant keywords that maximize paid/ organic search ranking.
  • Coordinate with Brand Marketing and Regulatory teams to manage and update product benefits and claims across the catalog.
  • Ensure that content is stored and syndicated through a Product Information System (PIM).
  • Identify, monitor, and report on category, customer, retail, shopper and competitive industry trends, and provide recommendations to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct extensive online research, always understanding marketing and sales strategies from all major ecommerce retailers and competitors.

 

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience working in ecommerce, including Google, Amazon, or Walmart
  • Team commitment – highly motivated – brings fun to work
  • Proficiency working across large cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, reading, & writing)
  • Strong organizational and planning skills are essential
  • Curious mindset into how shopper’s needs & behaviors are evolving
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
