The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management of the Creative Services Team, delivery of mid to large-scale creative and brand development projects and overseeing the team of Project Managers for Creative Services. The Project Manager works with the VP Creative Director to ensure that the creative team is poised to meet the objectives and goals of each project on-time and on-budget as well as champion quality and integrity of the end result. Senior Project Managers must have 5-10 years of experience managing creative projects from discovery and design to technical development and implementation. Experience in an agency environment or design studio is preferred.

 

The Senior Project Manager is an enthusiastic problem solver and thrives on being engaged at all levels of the project. As the key point of contact for both the brand and the creative teams, the Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of an engagement and the business.

 

The Senior Project Manager is also the main point of contact for internal GPN Creative requests from HR, Communications, Senior Leadership, and others throughout the organization that need design or creative support.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and managing the project plan and working with discipline leads and project teams to execute on plans for GPN’s global portfolio of brands
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the Creative Services team and ensure work is progressing as planned. Work with cross-functional project teams (creative, brand, legal, agencies and others) and be actively involved in all aspects of the work
  • Manage schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon.
  • Effectively and efficiently plan and prioritize all deliverables and resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance
  • Consistently identify needs that creative or brand teams may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs
  • Act as a main point of contact for the Creative Services team. Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on internal client feedback
  • Partner with creative team leads to present work
  • Quarterly planning for marketing communications with brand and regional teams
  • Support video Production Manager with production logistics for larger shoots: Location scouting, Catering, Talent recruiting, Travel planning, Permits and Pre-Production
  • Coordinate with Freelance photographers and outside design and video support vendors
  • Strategic planning for Creative Services team structure, communications and process improvements with other departments
  • Oversee and manage the team of Associate Project Managers and Project Mangers for Creative Services

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5-10 years of experience in creative project management and/or video production
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
  • Ability to understand and document project requirements and dependencies
  • Understanding of business and functional requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
  • Experience with the creative campaign development and an understanding of Print Proofing and DAM systems
  • Mobile and social media/community experience an asset
  • Competencies in MS Office, Workfront Proof, Brand Folder, Wrike and/or other related project management and common communications tools is required
