Total Rewards Business Partner -Compensation

This position will be located in the GPN Downers Drove, IL office and will focus on U.S. compensation programs to attract, retain individuals within the organization. The Total Rewards Business Partner - Compensation is responsible for ensuring all of the compensation programs – including the underlying processes, enabling technologies and communications are competitive, sustainable, and scalable and have an impact on the long and short term strategies of the organization.  It will support all business units within the US.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  •     Partners with HR and business leaders to establish the compensation priorities to support the business and people strategies. 
      •  
  • Serves as an internal consultant on compensation issues and planning and provides appropriate recommendations.
  • Influences and contributes to the overall compensation strategy, leading out on specific regional initiatives and projects as needed.
  • Benchmark and advise on US compensation programs following the employee talent lifecycle (new hires, promotions, transfers, etc.).
  • Directly oversees short-term incentive programs including administration as applicable.
  • Assists in developing the compensation strategy inclusive of the design, implementation, administration, and communication of our compensation programs including base pay, variable pay and applicable US executive compensation plans and vendors.
  • Responsible for management of all external partners and platforms.
  • Analyzes current programs to ensure they align with our business strategy and ensures that our programs optimize our ability to attract top talent.
  • Ensures compliance with, and maintains current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including FLSA and other applicable Labor and/or Tax laws and regulations; fulfills compliance and reporting requirements. 
  • Design, deliver and manage U.S. compensation programs to ensure individuals are recognized for their contributions to the organization.
  • Works in partnership with other COEs to ensure alignment and coordination of effort to communicate new programs or changes to existing programs as they relate to talent.
  • May assist with international compensation evaluations as needed.
  • Develops and communicates information to employees about compensation programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures including state specific requirements.
  • Leads M&A compensation due diligence and implementations as applicable.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 year Bachelors Degree
  • 3-5 years of Management level expreince in compensation (HRIS is a Plus)
  • Experience in manufacturing/food industry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade at a senior management level
  • Proven track record in creating, overseeing and implementing successful benefit programs
  • Strong operational, project management, cross functional experience; excellent communication skills; able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
  •  Understanding of working across different businesses and regions
  • Solid leadership experience including managing a team of professionals
  • M&A experience  preferred
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast paced environment; calm under pressure
  • Agile and able to lead others through change.
  • Knowledge of compensation benchmarking platforms
  • SuccessFactors experience a plus
