Trade Show & Event Manager

General Summary: In conjunction with the Director of Market Activation and regional brand teams, this role will be responsible for delivering best-in-class trade show and event execution.  Event show management and execution will be across two of Glanbia’s largest brands: Optimum Nutrition and Isopure.  Manager will be responsible for successful execution of both B2C and B2B shows.  Role will be an integral part of the overall marketing plans and will deliver against brand’s objectives and overall marketing plans.  Key areas of responsibility include tradeshow planning and execution, management of event and athlete teams, budget management, experiential activation, and event ROI analysis.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Works cross-functionally with brand, creative and commercial teams to deliver against brand objectives (e.g. introduction of new product launch, activation of brand campaign) via execution of best-in-class event programming.
  • Create one-on-one experiential activations that are compelling, memorable, increase consumer advocacy, and drive home the messaging of products and campaigns at each event.
  • Partner with digital and brand teams to develop pre- and post show activation for marquee events (e.g. consumer promotions/sweepstakes, email blasts, etc.)
  • Coordinate event logistics including management of athlete and event staff and working closely with vendors and agencies in the set up, break down and execution of shows. 
  • Evaluate ROI of tradeshows and events by establishing aligned to KPIs and conducting post-show analytics; identify areas of improvement via post show evaluation
  • Partner with the commercial team to create compelling B2B shows that drive trial and sales of new products. 
  • Prepare, manage, and track project budgets across tradeshow logistics, creative and agency partners.
  • Performs day-to-day business management activities, and executes other projects or activities as requested.
  • Manage and own event calendar across all B2C and B2B shows; develop recommendations for new events/consumer touch points
  • Must have a strong understanding and passion for the sports nutrition/fitness/health & wellness category.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership skills in managing/influencing teams and implementing key business initiatives.
  • Track record of running successful events including event activation that engages target consumer
  • Deadline and results oriented with high level of initiative and assertiveness.
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills.
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to improvise, problem solve and adjust on the fly
  • Ability to navigate from the strategic level to the analytical/tactical level fluidly
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

     

Education/Experience:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 3+ years of experience running tradeshows from top to bottom
  • 3+ years of experiential/step-out marketing activation
