Job Summary

The VP of Brand Marketing will be responsible for setting the long-term strategic agenda for Optimum Nutrition.  S/he will lead a cross functional team to establish and deliver short-term operating and long-term strategic growth objectives for the brand.  S/he will develop brand strategy & activation, optimize business model to support investment on the business, and deliver sustainable and profitable growth.

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic and operational business plans, financial objectives, brand strategies with full P&L responsibility.
  • Creates the 3 to 5 year strategic brand plan that translates into actionable 0-2 year business and marketing plans.
  • Develop and execute a clear, compelling, aligned growth strategy to maximize the potential of Optimum Nutrition, including identification of barriers to purchase, consumer jobs to be done, brand positioning, visual identity, storytelling, product and portfolio excellence, and innovation.
  • Establish holistic innovation/renovation plans to drive brand relevance and expansion based on consumer demand landscape opportunities.
  • Drive the development and execution of brand storytelling by defining brand architecture, developing creative and communication strategy, implementing best in class media plans and 360 activation plans to optimize consumer reach and impact.
  • Ability to understand and leverage marketing performance insights in order to improve marketing ROI and develop high impact activation plans.
  • Partner with commercial organization to develop multi-channel brand strategy and ensure optimal go to market strategy.  The primary channels include FDM, Club, Convenience, Specialty, Internet, Food Service/Immediate consumption.
  • Provide strategic direction and influences customer facing organization to ensure brand strategies and plans are effectively executed to ensure delivery of brand plans.

Education

  • Related Bachelor’s degree, MBA.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience managing/leading Brands and marketing teams
  • P&L experience is required.
  • A successful track record of driving net sales and profit growth
  • Proven track record in driving sustainable and profitable share growth
  • Mastered functional expertise in classical brand management, deep understanding of consumer and customer insights and activation
  • A history of delivering outstanding business results within competitive and changing environment, proven ability to perform within a matrix organization.
  • Strong operational, project management, cross functional experience; excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to recruit and hire.

Digital Experience / DTC – Has a fundamental knowledge and view point on D T C marketing and selling. Ability to recruit influencers and develop robust influencer type programs.
