The VP of Marketing will be responsible for leading brand strategy & activation to drive growth, optimizing marketing performance through clear understanding of investment choices and results, collaborating cross functionally to create value (Global Marketing, Finance, Sales, Customer Marketing). 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lead brand strategy and activation, including identification of barriers to purchase, consumer jobs to be done, brand positioning, visual identity, storytelling, product and portfolio excellence, and innovation.
  • Ability to understand and leverage marketing performance insights in order to improve marketing ROI and optimize marketing spend, and manage marketing budget.
  • Strong digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, web analytics, social media, web & mobile, affiliate marketing, and e-commerce.
  • Develop multi-channel brand strategy that defines frequency, timing, and number of customer contacts. The primary channels include FDM, Club, Convenience, Specialty , Internet , Food Service/Immediate consumption.
  • Leverage key tools and framework to develop local brand strategy.
  • Identify consumer jobs to be done for NA brands based on understanding of barriers to entry and key consumer insights.
  • Drive the execution of brand storytelling through selection of creative assets and leading media planning and buying to optimize consumer reach and impact.
  • Identify, execute, and measure marketing tactics to enhance responsiveness of different customer groups.
  • Identify key renovation and innovation initiatives based on definition consumer needs. Establish holistic marketing test strategy plans.
  • Manage new customer growth and acquisition strategies; direct response marketing strategy and execution. Segmentation analysis and targeting.
  • Work with global brand teams to lead the annual brand planning process and deliver annual brand plan.
  • Manage selection and spend on media agencies.
  • Drive PR strategy to maximize measureable exposure. Manage and direct public relations agency.  
  • Work with interactive marketing and e-business merchandising team to define the catalog product strategy and assortment.
  • Set analytical priorities and fully leverage new analytical tools. Guide in proper testing and analytical techniques.
  • Manage all marketing activities to maximize sales and profits, with full P&L responsibility for catalogs, internet marketing, and other promotion/advertising activities.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Related Bachelor’s degree, MBA .
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience managing/leading   Brands and marketing teams
  • P&L experience is required.
  • A successful track record of growing revenues and having worked in a growth business.
  • Amazon experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in overseeing and implementing successful development and implementation of digital strategies that lead to successful product/service launches and notable increases in inbound traffic and unique users. 
  • Familiarity with mediums and tools across digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, web analytics, social media, web & mobile, affiliate marketing, and e-commerce.
  • Strong operational, project management, cross functional experience; excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to recruit and hire.
