SAP Security Architect


A vacancy has arisen for the role of SAP Security Architect at Glanbia Business Services. This is a permanent position & will report to the Enterprise Architect and can be based in Dublin or Kilkenny.



SAP Security Architect is a senior position within Glanbia’s Enterprise Architecture function and will be instrumental in defining and driving Glanbia’s application access approach covering strategy, policies, standards, processes and controls across the whole Glanbia application landscape.


Key elements of the role

  • Define and drive a consistent cross landscape business role and application identity and access strategy
  • Design, build and support the testing of roles, authorisations and data restrictions in line with the application IAM strategy
  • Work closely with the development and application security teams on building a consistent application business role and IAM model
  • Communicate with business, IT and audit teams to ensure that application roles and IAM designs and solutions are in line with business and compliance requirements



  • Minimum of a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of core SAP application security, IDM and GRC  AC design, analysis, configuration, compliance and implementation
  • Fluent in SAP ECC, CRM, BI/BW, SAP Portals, SAP IDM, SAP GRC and PI security concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of security concepts in solutions such as SuccessFactors, Hybris, Concur and SAP mobile and cloud platforms



  • Experience in designing and implementing application business role and IAM strategies
  • Strong experience in the integration of SAP security in SAP modules and in overall business processes with the focus on design and architecture
  • Experience of implementing RBAC across SAP and non-SAP solutions – including on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments
  • Strong understanding of segregation of duties, audit compliance and sensitive transactions
  • Systems audit and ERP implementation experience a plus
