An opportunity currently exists in Glanbia Business Services for an experienced Senior Project Manager based in our locations in Ireland. We are open to discussing this opportunity with daily rate consultants or permanent candidates – the role will report to the IT Programme Manager, GBS.

The base location of the roles will be in Ireland in any of our office locations in Kilkenny, Citywest, Dublin 24 or Waterford, with hybrid working arrangements available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Key deliverables of the role

  • Manage the set-up and implementation of projects
  • Ensure the successful delivery of projects to plan and within budget, while ensuring that the deliverables meet the underlying business case.
  • Lead and manage project team from Initiation through Go-live & Hypercare.  
  • Create and manage project plans ensuring appropriate feedback and buy-in from all functional groups.
  • Proactively assess project issues and facilitate mitigation plan to ensure project success.
  • Present status updates and report on potential issues and mitigation plans to steering group. 



  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Business or Engineering)
  • PMP Certification a distinct advantage 


Skills & experience 

  • At least ten years’ experience of successfully managing complex business systems projects involving significant business change / and including management of at least three full-lifecycle projects in Manufacturing or Consumer Products industry
  • Able to act as business change manager as well as project manager
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience of a best-practice project management methodology
  • Experience of managing third-party vendors in a project implementation
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Experience in addressing key business issues with IT solutions
  • Commercially focused
