Tax Manager (Transfer Pricing)


A vacancy has arisen for a Tax Manager (Transfer Pricing) with Glanbia PLC. This is a permanent position and will report to the Glanbia plc Group Transfer Pricing Manager. This role will be based in our Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin 24 office.


Role summary

The Tax Manager (Transfer Pricing) will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of the Group’s transfer pricing strategies and ensuring continued adherence with transfer pricing compliance requirements across the markets in which we operate.


Key elements of the role

  • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation reports including working with tax advisors in this regard
  • Review of transfer pricing adjustment computations for year-end reporting of Group results
  • Working closely with the Legal department to ensure that intercompany arrangements are appropriately documented by way of intercompany contractual agreements
  • Working closely with business segments to ensure that appropriate transfer prices for intercompany products and services are maintained
  • Review (and/or preparation) of related party transaction returns for submission to tax authorities (e.g. CbCR)
  • General tax/transfer pricing support in Group strategic projects (eg international expansions, mergers and acquisitions, Group restructurings), progressing to direct responsibility for specific projects and tax planning initiatives
  • General tax support (on an ad hoc basis) to the wider Group Tax team to support the effective execution of the Irish, US, UK and international tax agendas

Requirements for the role

  • Professionals qualifications – accounting and tax (ACCA / ACA and AITI), attained in a professional office
  • A qualification in transfer pricing (eg ITI’s Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) would be an advantage
  • Corporate tax experience within a multinational group or advisory firm is essential
  • Prior experience working in the field of transfer pricing within a multinational group or advisory firm would be an advantage
  • Commercially astute with strong business acumen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Experience using SAP an advantage
  • Ability to manage a broad remit and commitment to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both on your own initiative and within a team environment to deliver Group Tax’s significant value added brief
  • A limited amount of travel will be required from time to time
