Principal Accountabilities (not definitive)

  • Lead and shape the Grocery channel strategy for the Irish market
  • Work with category management to secure GPN as THE go to supplier for the Irish retail market
  • Manage the customer cost files in line with the customers pricing strategy 
  • Execute the brand professionally, drive sales and ensure best practice during the planned call cycle.
  • Achievement of sales, profit and distribution targets in line with KPI’s.
  • Develop customer relationships and a platform to support brand activity.
  • Excellent execution of brand activity within accounts and engagement with key sponsorships.
  • Build out and cost up appropriate promotional & support plans by customer
  • Work with customer & trade marketing to develop appropriate marketing support plans
  • Work with demand forecasting, finance, customer service to ensure both internal & external needs are met

Skills, Know How and experience

  • A 3rd level qualification in Marketing, Business Studies, Food Business/Science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales environment working with FMCG/consumer goods.
  • Strong career ambition and desire to go the extra mile.
  • A commercial understanding always focused on return on investment.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills with a tactical approach to account management and development.
  • Good common sense and initiative.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and customer care focus.
  • A passion for training and all things sports and or gym related.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Dublin based
