Job Summary

Our Head of Financial Planning will be responsible for the consolidation of GN Division budgets and forecasts, ensuring adequate instruction, planning and co-ordination with the functional finance teams for the preparation of Product P&Ls including Commercial, Operations, Product and Innovation and Central budgets.  The role will also be responsible for the Planning process and systems optimization including defining the vision and roadmap and leading this implementation. The role will also be responsible for Overheads consolidation and analysis.  Interim responsibility for A&C EMEA

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the GN Central Planning team
  • Responsible for the consolidation of GN Division budgets and forecast.  This will include ensuring detailed forecasts and related reporting is submitted on time in line with the Group Finance Calendar and to assist the VP Finance Accounting and Control in gaining sufficient information in order to present proposals and options to the GN CFO/CEO prior to finalising  forecasts and submitting to Group
  • Annual Budget: With regard to the annual budgetary process, work with theVP Finance Accounting and Control to ensure that there is adequate instruction, planning and co-ordination to ensure Product P&Ls, Commercial, Operations, Product and Innovation and Central budgets are produced and received on time to enable a consolidated GN budget to be compiled, considered and interpreted by the GN CFO and GN CEO
  • Support the GN growth strategy and act as key liaison point with the Group Corporate Development team
  • Lead the Monthly Outlook, risks and opportunities process for GN
  • Lead the GN Planning process and systems optimization vision.  Define the roadmap to achieve this vision and lead the implementation of  these improvements. This will involve project management of a cross functional team to realize this vision
  • Manage the Overhead consolidation of actuals and plan for Overheads.  This will involve detailed analysis and explanation of cost variances

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • Professional Accounting qualification
  • Ideal candidate will have 10+ years finance experience gained in a variety of finance environments including significant financial control experience and significant financial planning and analysis experience in a CPG/FMCG environment
  • Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills.  Must possess a broad business perspective and have a ‘hands-on’ and in-depth understanding of the GN financials
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization
  • Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems (preferably with knowledge of BCS) and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Physical Demands

  • Should be able to identify and distinguish colors, and see clearly at 20 inches or closer.

 

Typical Environmental Conditions

  • May be exposed to loud noise levels (i.e. manufacturing equipment).
  • May be exposed to fumes and toxic chemicals.

     

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
