Position Title: Logistics Coordinator – 6 month fixed term contract

Reporting to: Import / Export Compliance Lead

Department / Function/Business Unit: Performance Nutrition EMEA


Job Purpose:  

Glanbia Performance Nutrition is one of the World’s leading sports and specialist Nutrition Companies developing and manufacturing a range of nutritional bars, beverages and ready to mix drinks.  Glanbia Performance Nutrition EMEA is now seeking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator to support all day to day activities within the European network on a 6 month fixed term contract basis


Principal Accountabilities (not definitive)

  • Movement of goods - import, export, transport and customs within Europe.
  • Fulfilment of customer orders across a pan European logistics operation, via multi-channel routes ex the UK, Netherlands & Denmark.
  • Providing solutions to customer challenges (timed deliveries, pallet configurations).
  • Day to day inventory management within our 3PL facilities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with 3rd party warehouse & transportation service providers.
  • Maintaining appropriate KPI’s on all service providers.
  • Day to day issue resolution (deliveries & shortage claims)

  • An understanding of customer needs and requirements


Success Measures

  • On time delivery at minimum 95%
  • Inventory accuracy maintained at all times
  • Development of excellent working relationships with key service providers
  • Ensuring GPN remains compliant with Customs Authorities


Skills, Know How and experience

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of European or International logistics.
  • Relevant qualification in supply chain management / logistics, is preferable
  • Previous experience with customs & excise procedures an advantage
  • Ability to analyse processes and procedures and implement improvements
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic working knowledge of SAP.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Results orientated and creative problem solver.
  • Ability to work under own initiative
