Job Purpose:

Specifically, we are seeking a Supply Planning Manager who will determine and deliver optimal inventory levels for Distribution Centres and Plants while meeting and exceeding company defined key performance metrics such as fill rate, aged inventory, and working capital. Managing production capacity while balancing the cost of inventory capital, capacity constraints, plant production efficiencies, and customer fill rate objectives. Providing support and leadership to a team of Supply and Production Planners. Communicates with business partners including commercial, customer service and fulfilment teams regarding capacity constraints and limitations for internal manufacturing locations. Collaborating with manufacturing facilities and/or suppliers in scheduling production to support sales activity at the least landed cost.


Principal Accountabilities (not definitive)

  • As part of the S&OP team you will plan, prepare and participate in weekly / monthly planning meetings. This position owns continuous improvement efforts for Supply Planning processes to assure best in class supply planning resulting in reliable plant capacity requirements, high customer service, reduced raw material inventory and robust financial plans.
  • Own master data maintenance for Business Objects and JDA data
  • Leading efforts to identify and resolve factory supply chain constraints
  • Optimise inventory levels at both distribution centres and plants to deliver fill rate targets
  • Driving for decreased alert levels, and distress sales across all categories
  • Drives utilisation of capacity models for entire business
  • Supports and provides direction to marketing and sales regarding capacity availability or limitations for existing or new business simulations
  • Interaction with all business partners for strengthening of process opportunities and effectiveness across the company
  • Provide resolution and execution of key shortage issues to upper management

  • Measuring and improving against inventory targets including WOS, aging, excess, obsolete, order fulfil rate
  • Ensuring finished goods availability to plan and escalating impending and potential future supply issues
  • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic and sometimes high pressure environment
  • Ability to deliver with conflicting priorities


Skills, Know How and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Mathematics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, JDA
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
