Glanbia plc is seeking to recruit an Investor Relations Manager reporting to the Group Head of Strategy and Investor Relations


Investor Relations overview

Glanbia is listed on the Euronext Dublin and London stock exchanges.  Investor Relations (“IR”) is responsible for the communication of all financial results as well as strategy to the investor community.  IR leads the engagement process for Glanbia with its institutional investors and potential investors.  This results in the completion of over 350 one to one meetings or calls a year as well as presentations delivered at investor conferences globally, typically over 12 per annum.  Key to the role is being able to assimilate data from across the Group rapidly and write up results releases and presentations.  Finally IR has access to significant public research data on other listed Companies and has to provide regular updates to the Glanbia Exec and Board on Glanbia’s share price performance and drivers as well as relevant information from publicly listed peers and competitors. The IR team sits within Group Finance and works closely with the Group CEO, CFO, BU CEOs and CFOs as well as the central finance, Company Secretariat, FP&A, ESG, Group Communications and segmental strategy teams.



While likely to be initially working remotely due to current restrictions, the base location of the role will be Citywest, Dublin 24 OR Kilkenny, upon return to the workplace with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.


Role Overview

The Investor Relations Manager assists in the execution of Glanbia’s investor relations programme to ensure consistent, accurate information is provided on a timely basis to investors, analysts and the Company’s leadership team.


You will be connecting with the investor community and be an ambassador for Glanbia. You will understand buy-side interaction with sell-side analysts, their needs and answer their questions about Glanbia’s past & projected performance. You will draw on strong financial and communication expertise in this role to work across our business to understand results and key drivers. You will need to always be mindful of the disclosure requirements of a public company in all interactions with third parties and provide guidance on this to other Glanbia employees in any interactions they may have with the investor community. This role comes with significant exposure to the Group CEO and CFO and is suited to an individual with a strong interest in stock markets.  It is an ideal role to learn about the entire group and its strategy as well as being an opportunity to further develop strong communications skills


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage key work streams during financial results periods (full year, half year and quarterly results) in particular taking ownership for preparation of investor results presentations.
  • Prepare supporting information packs for senior management for results calls and investor meetings working closely with FP&A team as well as segmental finance teams;
  • Manage webcasts and analyst conference calls for each results event every quarter;
  • Load financial results and other regulated updates for formal publication on the regulatory news service (“RNS”);
  • Create and develop supporting presentation materials for investor conferences and briefings;
  • Develop monthly Board update on Glanbia share price, share register and price drivers;
  • Engage directly with analysts and investors, where appropriate, on a one to one basis to answer questions respecting disclosure regulations.  Maintain short notes of key investor interactions;
  • Build relationships with the equity analysts which publish independent research on Glanbia;
  • Regularly evaluate expectations and research published by equity analysts and calculate the average (“consensus”) for key financial metrics for Glanbia across all analysts;
  • Monitor the stock market performance of competitors and peers. Produce regular updates summarising peer group valuations and key strategic developments;
  • Manage investor communications and surveys related to environment, sustainability and governance  (“ESG”) linking in closely to the Group ESG team;
  • Ad hoc analysis to support other finance & commercial functions such as preparation of total shareholder return data for remuneration committee and annual report;
  • Manage and coordinate investor meetings, investor road shows and capital markets days. Prepare presentations to accompany these meetings when necessary; and
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Corporate Communications team in areas such as content management for the Glanbia corporate website, preparation of the Glanbia Annual Report and Sustainability Report.



  • Minimum of undergraduate qualification in a related field and a relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA and or CFA/MBA



  • At least 3 years of corporate experience post-graduation in a finance role typically a qualified accountant or similar;
  • Experience in the following beneficial - finance, accounting, treasury, equity analysis, M&A/corporate finance/transaction services, asset management or strategy. 
  • Experience gained at, a brokerage, investment bank, strategy consultant, accountancy firm or investor relations role in a PLC.



The successful candidate for this role will have/be able to develop:

  • Excellent financial analysis skills including the ability to critically assess and articulate the value drivers of a business. Knowledge of financial modelling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, stock markets including the macro themes in the markets, the main asset classes and the role of the various stakeholders within financial markets.
  • Demonstrate agility and ability to get things done in a fast paced environment, effectively handling multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Effective communication style - with a logical, structured, clear, credible and collaborative format. Capable of quickly engaging and influencing audiences of all levels. Operate within the clear disclosure requirements of a regulated public company.
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills – displaying clarity of thought process and clearly and effectively simplifying and communicating complex messages in all mediums of communication.
  • Demonstrate a high level of learning agility - seeking new and challenging experiences, taking risks in order to learn new areas or topics and showing tenacity in pushing past uncomfortable learning curves


  • Some international travel required – 5% - travel requirement will be drive by Glanbia s reporting calendar and general investor conference schedules.
