A vacancy has arisen for the role of SAP Netweaver (Basis) / DBA Administrator at Glanbia Business Services. This is a permanent position & will report to the Application Technology Manager and can be based in Kilkenny OR Citywest, Dublin.



Glanbia plc operates a world-class Application Technology suite comprising SAP, Oracle & related IT systems to support the business in reaching its objectives. The SAP Netweaver (Basis) / DBA Administrator role will be part of the team responsible for the on-going design and support of IT enabled solutions for the global business.


Key elements of the role

  • Participate in the Technical Administration & Support (Netweaver/Basis ) for the group SAP eco-system (which includes ECC, BW, BO, CRM, PI, Enterprise Portal, SRM, Identity Management)
  • Participate in the Technical Administration & Support  of the group non-SAP systems  (which includes JDA, LIMS,Onesource, P8)
  • Administration & support of the Oracle based business systems.
  • Support of the in-house Application Development, Glanbia Business Services Centre of Excellence and Business Application Support Teams.
  • Working with the wider Technical Teams to deliver additional functionality / components as required by the Business.



  • Third level qualification in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent



  • 2-3 years’ experience in one or more of the following
  • SAP NetWeaver Administration
  • Oracle database administration
  • Application /Integration Middleware administration such as Websphere / Weblogic
  • Experience in the technical and functional aspects of SAP NetWeaver  Identity Management would be an advantage



  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to work on one's own initiative and a proven track record in meeting goals.
  • Good problem solving / analytical skills and the ability to see issues through to resolution.
