This role reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance Support will play a vital role in developing and improving value-adding business analysis of Glanbia Ireland’s commercial activities, by supporting BI and process development and KPI identification. You will be an integral part of the Commercial Finance team and working closely with the Accounting and Reporting team and Business Partnering teams will be responsible for providing key commercial information to the business and accountable for the integrity and accuracy of same. 


The primary functions of this role will be to:

  • Work with the Commercial Finance Support Managers to develop and improve profitability & margin analysis by customer & product,
  • Work closely with Business Partners to deliver high quality Business Intelligence / Analytics to the wider Glanbia Ireland organisation to enable improved decision making
  • Work closely with the Business Partners to analyse commercial performance to bring new perspectives to functional stakeholders, using a wide range of analytical tools/ratios.
  • Support the Finance Business Partners in performing detailed scenario analysis and planning
  • Build effective cross functional working relationships within Glanbia Ireland and other parties as appropriate to ensure high quality of input into scenarios/models
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value (price, cost and process).
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on opportunities to improve commercial performance
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners in pricing support for their Categories through detailed pricing analysis.


Key Requirements:

  • Good management accounting experience, along with a proven track record in commercial value adding activities.
  • Experience of ERP systems and Data Warehousing software would be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of financial and sales analysis.
  • Proven experience of managing financial data, building financial models and reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (evaluating risks)
  • Strong at presenting complex information in a user friendly way that meets the needs of a range of stakeholders
  • Degree qualified with either an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification with 4-5 years PQE, with a track record of experience in a commercial accounting or management accounting position.
