Overview

The Consumer Production Planning Manager reports to the Head of Integrated Planning. This role is integral to the delivery of our strategy and is a key person in the rollout the digital strategy for planning.  The individual will lead the production planning team in the Consumer category and is responsible for the optimisation and utilisation of resources and inventories while meeting customer demands. The individual will provide leadership, direction, and development for a team of Production and Raw Material planners through the use of the Tirlan values and behaviours and deliver on Supply Chain key Metrics including Inventory holding, Plan and Schedule Attainment (Internal Production & TPM’s) and Fill Rates.

 

Key Responsibilities.

  • Ensure collaboration of production planning teams with respective demand teams
  • Ensure collaboration of production planning teams with operations, logistics and commercial communicating and deviations to plan
  • Establish and track KPIs for operational & planning team reflecting overall goals of the plan and communicate via 3M.  Conduct RCA and lead corrective actions to address deviations in production planning.
  • Lead a dynamic Production / Supply Planning team in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment.
  • Co-ordinate all product outsourcing activity.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across all disciplines of the business, particularly with Operations, Quality, Commercial, and Supply Chain Order Fulfilment function.
  • Identify and implement best practice systems driven Planning solutions.
  • Ownership of Material Requirements Planning
  • Ownership of Supply Planning SAP Masterdata
  • Key member of the team to establish and implement an S&OP process for the consumer category (International and Domestic)

 

Key Requirements:

  • Change management – drive successful implementation of the S&OP process from a production planning view
  • Ability to lead, and work collaboratively and influence at all levels across multiple functions
  • Strong knowledge & experience in production planning
  • Financial acumen, S&OP IT & enabling technology knowledge, robust project management skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication skills
  • Understand production capabilities and capacities in a GI context in relation to customer and manufacturing specifications
  • Understand Masterdata in a GI context

 

Experience:

  • Experience in S&OP process
  • Experience in demand forecasting and supply planning
  • Extensive experience in agricultural, food & dairy industries
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP planning systems and Business Objects reporting
