E-Services Senior Analyst


An opportunity has arisen for an E-Services Senior Analyst with Glanbia plc.  This is a permanent position based in our Kilkenny or Citywest, Dublin office and will report to the E-Services Dept. Head.


While likely to be initially working remotely due to current restrictions, the base location of the role will be Kilkenny, upon return to the workplace with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.

Key Elements of the Role

  • Participate fully in the design, implementation and support of IT integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems, and between non-SAP systems.
  • Develop and demonstrate a solid understanding of the various business contexts in which Glanbia IT integration solutions are required.
  • Become conversant (if not already) with EDI messaging standards such as EDIFACT and ANSI X12,  and middleware tools such as IBM Gentran Server and IBM Sterling B2Bi Integrator.
  • Work with other GBS teams, where required, in delivering cross-function IT solutions.
  • Liaise directly with IT departments in customer and supplier companies to deliver automated and integrated trading solutions.
  • Produce comprehensive and comprehensible technical documentation on all projects undertaken.
  • Resolve helpdesk calls logged against the E-Services service catalogue and implement change requests where necessary.
  • Provide support for existing trading partner relationships including designated time outside of standard business hours as required.



  • 3rd level qualification in an IT related field Competencies



  • At least 5 years’ experience in an EDI analyst / developer role
  • Experience with computer programming or a scripting language, database management and file-system organisation desirable.



  • An aptitude for analytical thinking, problem-solving and trouble-shooting 
  • Good time-management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills – the ability to understand and explain technical issues but also interpret them for a non-technical audience.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to deadlines
  • The energy, enthusiasm and drive to make it happen.
  • A team player who has the ability to motivate others, making it fun while getting the job done.
