Employee Communications Manager

12 month contract

The Glanbia Ireland (GI) Employee Communications Manager is responsible for the development and management of Company-wide employee messaging to over 2,000 employees through centralised communications channels.  This includes non-Ireland based teams in the US, EU and Asia. The successful person will support business leaders in the development and execution of strategic messaging. They will play a key role in driving employee engagement by promoting a culture of transparency and connecting our people with our overall business strategy, purpose and values. The Employee Communications Manager reports to the Head of Employee Engagement & Culture and is a member of the GI HR team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring the GI strategy to life for employees by supporting business leaders in the development and execution of all company-wide strategic communications including communications planning, content development and deployment.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain communications content. Utilise employee communications touchpoints and opportunities to promote and reinforce our values and the employee experience in Glanbia Ireland for all employee segments.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and implement tailored communications solutions to support tactical and strategic initiatives, including significant change programmes and business continuity planning.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to design, prepare and deploy CEO and Executive Leadership communications briefs.
  • Consult with employees to measure effectiveness of internal communications and drive continuous improvement in internal communications approach, content and practices
  • Optimise and develop new and existing Communications Channels to maximise inclusion and access to content for all employees, regardless of role or location. This will include existing digital and social media tools such as the GI Monthly Employee Newsletter, Digital Screen Communications Network, Email, etc.
  • Incorporate strategic and tactical messaging into the Glanbia Ireland KPI Management Process, 3M (Measure, Meet, Manage)
  • Support GI marketing and corporate communications teams by internalising external messaging and promoting a sense of belonging and pride amongst our employees
  • Provide event management and communications support for GI-wide employee events and events led by Glanbia Plc.

 

Key Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an internal or external communications role preferably with experience of strategy deployment and crisis communications
  • Experience of partnering with and influencing senior leader
  • Strong capabilities in the area of copywriting and content development with the ability to articulate messaging to multiple audiences and stakeholders
  • Agile with an ability to function in a dynamic environment
  • Technically competent in use of digital/social media tools and HTML email platforms
