We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. This is a 12 month contract position, highly visible, reporting to the Head of Finance – Business Partner Operations. Location; flexible - Citywest, Dublin or Kilkenny. 

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a finance professional who is passionate about the industry and is able to effectively lead within a fast paced and dynamic environment. The role will involve partnering with the Operations / Supply chain teams to deliver the insights required to aid decision making and contribute to the success of the business, by providing insight, challenge and support to the team.  You will understand the probable financial implications of decisions on the Operations / Supply Chain functions, thereby having the ability to offer insightful advice and support to the function.  Ideally you will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations/supply chain team to review current insights and prepare new insights on financial and operational analysis to evaluate, monitor and drive business performance.
  • Understand and drive operational unit / sub-unit performance by identifying, owning and developing the PI’s/KPI’s of commercial unit and related dashboards and reports on business objects.
  • Develop and challenge strategic/business plans and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Work with operational teams to develop and challenge budgets/forecasts
  • Provide insights into variances, work with the Commercial  Finance Support team to develop and populate budgets/forecasts
  • Support the operations team in business case feasibility and development and provide on-going monitoring and evaluation of actual performance against same.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Control team to drive functional financial performance.
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc analysis and management reporting to assist operational  business decisions, including but not limited to, Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Commercial negotiations &  Project appraisal
  • Have a deep understanding of the external commercial environment thereby providing insight into cost control efforts.
  • Where applicable, perform complex analysis to support Senior Finance BP – Operations in overarching decision support.
  • Contribute to monthly commentary / insights in monthly reporting packs
  • Support process improvement and optimisation being the key finance player in commercial/lean projects from identification through to planning and implementation phases.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant or third level degree in a relevant finance or business discipline with relevant experience.
  • 5-10 years post qualification experience in a dynamic environment, working in Supply Chain/Production environments is preferred but not essential.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of SAP accounting environments preferred together with ability to use and exploit data warehousing and excel
  • Finance Business partnering experience preferred
