The Financial Accountant – Ingredients will report to the Accounting and Reporting Manager – Supply Chain & Operations. This role will focus on operational cost accounting & control.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accounting, reporting & control activity in relation to assigned areas of responsibility within manufacturing, supply chain and support functions overhead categories.
  • Ensure robust month-end close as part of the management reporting cycle for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support the delivery of accurate & timely monthly management accounts for assigned cost areas via detailed review, ensuring completeness of GL entries and posting of accruals / prepayments to reflect outstanding items, in compliance with company accounting policy.  
  • Ownership of SAP data uploads in relation to Budget/Forecast.
  • Support purchasing compliance & control.
  • Work with Accounting & Reporting Manager – Supply Chain & Operations to drive process improvement, reporting capability development, finance automation and assigned projects / objectives.
  • Support the external and internal audit activity.
  • Complete statutory returns for government agencies and industry surveys as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Performance & results driven approach
  • Degree qualified with professional accounting qualification – 3-5 years PQE required
  • Experience of ERP systems, Data Warehousing platforms and report design
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
