Role Overview

The People Services Manager reports into the Head of HR Business Partners. This role develops and leads the People Services Team, engaging them to deliver the best they can every day. To deliver on all contracted Service Level Agreement (SLAs) at an admissible cost the role constantly strives for optimising service delivery and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.  A strong understanding of IT systems (particularly SuccessFactors, SAP & Excel), with a keen interest in data, analytics and the development of insight.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •  Manage a high performing team who is able to and is supported in offering timely and efficient service
  • Work with HRBPs to ensure People Services team is fit for purpose; constantly improving process inefficiencies to offer a best-in-class service
  • Act as a final escalation point for any queries which your team is unable to solve for
  • Develop a clearly defined strategy for the People Services team
  • Develop initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and innovation
  • Drive work stream procedure updates and/or changes and communication
  • Maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of work stream processing to bring about harmonisation, simplification & standardisations to the HR systems & processes
  • Maintain the governance policies and procedures relating to the People Services department
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments, review, audit and prepare reports and action plans
  • Conduct random data integrity checks against completeness & validity standards
  • Maintain and monitor SLAs between People Services and Categories / Functions
  • Provide regular support and coaching to team members including extended HR team
  • Cross-skill team members where possible still maintaining audit integrity/rules
  • Continuously look for improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of service
  • Update HR Policies on the basis of legislation changes or Organisational initiatives.

Experience

  • Professional HR certification / membership preferred
  • 6-8 years post-qualification experience within HR / SSC
  • 3-4 years experience in Operations Mgmt. role within HR SSC in relevant work stream (managing direct reports)
  • Demonstrated experience is building a similar service
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team
