The Opportunity 
•    Design concepts and products using Glanbia Nutritionals ingredients across a variety of applications (bars, beverages, baked goods, fresh dairy etc.).
•    Advise and support European commercial and marketing team, providing necessary research, technical and application support.
•    Compile nutritionals, application sheets and prototype samples as required.
•    Provide technical applications support for distributors and European customers.
•    Work in close collaboration with the US R&D centre and adapt US recipes for EU market and support technical transfer of US products to Europe.
•    Keep up to date on market trends and technical developments.
•    Participate in design and implementation of sensory research, and analysis of data.
•    Support the Quality Manager on customer queries.
•    Communicate with other functions within the organisation and external suppliers.
•    Research competitor, existing and new nutritional ingredients and trends from an application, scientific and regulatory standpoint.
  
 The Skills you will bring to the team
•    Science based degree/qualification, preferably to post graduate level (Food Science, Dairy Science or a related field)
•    Relevant technical and/or operational experience in a value-add dairy or related high-end nutrition industry.
•    In-depth dairy product knowledge with nutritional, chemistry and formulation expertise
•    A logical, structured, scientific approach combined with good record keeping. 
•    Strong business understanding and orientation and effectively handles multiple, rapidly changing and conflicting priorities. 
•    Passionate about the business, will be a strong external ambassador / advocate for the business and will be highly collaborative with the ability to work successfully across teams, regions and functions.
•    Strong cultural awareness based on past exposure, experience, and successful business dealings.  
•    Highly detailed with a systematic approach, sense of responsibility and positive customer focus
•    Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly in positive or negative situations.
•    Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel with the utmost professionalism.
•    Works with supervision while remaining productive at all times.
•    Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team goals.
•    Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must.
•    Possesses a passion for learning new skills.
•    Fluent in written and spoken English required.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent Project Management and Presentation skills
•    Excellent skills in Microsoft package
