Talent, Leadership Development and Learning Manager

 

Glanbia has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for talent management, leadership development and learning to join our team.

 

There are two roles available, one is a 2 year contract to cover an internal secondment and the second is a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave.  The positions are currently remote and will operate in a blended working approach in the future, with base office location in either Kilkenny, Dublin or Chicago.

 

Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to have a real impact within a global organisation as a Talent, Leadership Development and Learning Manager.  This role reports to the Group Director of Talent and Engagement, and works as part of the global Talent CoE in executing the talent strategy, aligned with the business strategy.  As these roles sit within the Group Talent and Engagement team, there will also be an opportunity to be involved in employee engagement and culture initiatives that support our values based culture, with a particular focus on diversity and inclusion.

 

Key Elements of the Role

  • Lead out on the design and delivery of talent management, leadership development and learning programmes and solutions, working with global business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs. 
  • Partner with the global BU HR teams on delivery of our annual global talent and succession planning review (OPR) to create a sustainable leadership pipeline.
  • Contribute to the accelerated development of talent across Glanbia, through the design and implementation of career pathways, capability frameworks and agile experience-driven opportunities that facilitate improved talent mobility and progression.   
  • Take a lead role in the design and delivery of customised senior leadership programmes to develop future ready leadership capabilities, in partnership with global executive education providers and thought leaders.
  • Create innovative and impactful learning solutions, drawing on latest thinking, research and insight in this area externally and optimising digital capabilities.
  • Play a role in the delivery of learning content and facilitation of individual and team development programmes as required.
  • Contribute to wider global HR projects and priorities, for example, diversity and inclusion, performance management, HR transformation and OD programmes.
  • Cultivate and sustain positive relationships within the global Talent CoE and collaborate on the development of organisation wide initiatives and frameworks to support business needs.  
     

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of a third level qualification in a relevant area, with previous experience in a similar role within a multinational company.  Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
  • Experienced at developing and executing progressive and impactful talent, leadership development and learning initiatives across a global organisation.
  • Highly competent in the use of relevant processes, frameworks and tools.  Relevant qualifications and certifications are strongly desired, e.g. coaching, instructional design, psychometric tools and talent assessments.
  • Previous experience of end to end programme management, adapting to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily.
