Glanbia is currently seeking to recruit a Treasury Accountant.  This is a permanent opportunity and will be location in Glanbia House, Head office, Kilkenny. The role will report to the Group Treasurer.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated centralised treasury team and be required to assist in the management and further development of the group’s internationally dimensioned corporate treasury activities



While likely to be initially working remotely due to current restrictions, the base location of the role will be Head Office, Kilkenny, upon return to the workplace with a blended working arrangement available through our Smart working model which allows you a greater choice in how you work and live, giving you a better work-life balance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working to tight deadlines the successful candidate will be responsible for all Treasury postings, period closing, query investigation and resolution
  • Liaison with front office and payments teams to ensure timely, accurate and complete transaction capture and accounting
  • Treasury month-end reporting, analysis of interest income and expense, reconciliation of realised FX results and ad-hoc analysis / reporting
  • Preparation of periodic interest forecasts
  • Primary point of contact with Group Finance in relation to preparation of half-year and annual accounts treasury notes
  • Primary point of contact with External Auditors in relation to the coordination of half-year and annual audits.
  • Liaison with other key stakeholder groups including business units, Taxation, Secretariat, and Glanbia Business Services/IT
  • Ad-hoc project work




  • 3rd level Degree in Business / Finance / Economics / Accounting
  • Recognised Accounting professional qualification


Skills & Experience

  • 2 – 3 years Post Qualification experience, ideally in a treasury environment but the successful candidate will receive appropriate treasury related training
  • Exposure to SAP TRM and Serrala Cash Management desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel 



  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a commercial perspective
  • An excellent team worker, with the ability to collaborate effectively within and across functions
  • An ability to establish priorities and to work on their own initiative, to strict deadlines and within a team environment in order to deliver the treasury department’s value added agenda
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
