We are seeking a finance professional who is passionate about the industry and is able to effectively lead within a fast paced and dynamic environment and deliver and drive change.

The role will involve partnering with the various functional teams (Operations, Quality, Integrated planning and Finance) to deliver the change programme required to deliver value by aiding decision making and contribute to the success of the business, by providing insight, challenge and support to the various teams in the area of milk solids management.  You will understand the probable financial implications of decisions on the functions, thereby having the ability to offer insightful advice and support to the function.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Assess the overall GI processes for measuring and tracking milk constituents (milk solids) throughout the process from weighbridge to warehouse in order to deliver value opportunities through optimising the process utilising data analytics and insights
  • Collect, analyse and utilise data and feedback to identify opportunities to engineer value in milk solids from the weighbridge through to the warehouse, and to maximise the collaboration and idea sharing opportunities cross functionally
  • Collaborate with Planning to refine and track yields and constituents assumptions to recommend improvements in process and optimise value
  • Collaborate with Ingredients Operations team to review current insights and prepare new insights on financial and operational analysis to evaluate, monitor and drive optimisation of milk solids performance in the plants
  • Collaborate with Finance to evaluate, track and report out on key initiatives. Also to ensure integrity of data so that it is fit for purpose for raw material costing through to stock management
  • Collaborate with Quality to ensure alignment and standardisation of testing regimes to ensure consistent data extracted from each site in order to optimise testing regime and identify opportunities that exist
  • Working with Process excellence/Integrated Planning/Operations/Finance/Quality and others to Identify initiatives that will deliver value through milk solids usage optimisation
  • Design and develop an automated “dashboard” reporting solution in conjunction with GBS catering for the requirement for each of the relevant work streams in order to deliver key insights/metrics in order to deliver value
  • Support Milk solids programme & governance to inform and steer Glanbia Ireland’s programme of mass balance projects
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of programme/project documentation and communication reports for key internal stakeholders.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Technically savvy with a strong understanding and aptitude for systems and IT.
  • Data focused but with an ability to interpret, analyse and use to drive results
  • Ideally financial background and a financial qualification
  • Strong overall business experience with a 6+ years’ experience in a senior role in an FMCG or milk production environment
  • Driver of change who will identify opportunities and work through people to achieve them
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with an ability to deliver change initiatives
  • Organisationally savvy with an ability to get results in a complex environment
  • In depth knowledge and experience of SAP/BW preferred together with ability to use and exploit data warehousing and excel tools
