The eCommerce Manager reports to the Head of Marketing & Digital and is accountable for the development and growth of online sales through Agribusiness eCommerce channels. They will also take responsibility for the development and on-going enhancement of the eCommerce site as well as ensuring SEO and traffic driving KPI's are met. They will also ensure conversion rates are maximised and will work closely with the Marketing manager and commercial team to ensure a seamless experience across all social and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an eCommerce strategy and plan that will drive sales amongst new and existing customers
  • Develop an eCommerce sales budget and work very closely with the key branch and business mgr. stakeholder to deliver omni channel sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal partners and external vendors, to optimise eCommerce growth and profitability, including promotional and inventory planning/forecasting to drive customer experience
  • Manage the eCommerce team and oversee day-to-day site merchandising maintenance and optimisation
  • Develop best practices in eCommerce as it relates to the end consumer; drive sales and increase average transaction value
  • Manage eCommerce Hybris retail shopping platform, utilizing a variety of internal and external resources to ensure site functionality, optimization and stability.
  • Develop third party vendor and drop ship vendor relationships to address product opportunities
  • Monitor and analysis of eCommerce performance and action opportunities to drive increased value and customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate existing KPIs, historical analytics, financial documents, and strategic long range plans to formulate a quantitative operational plan to grow revenue while preserving operating costs
  • Provide input to product pricing ranges set by product category owners and ensure eCommerce channel adheres to these ranges
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive traffic to the website
  • Initiate and generate business analysis to track selling; identify key trends and maximize opportunities in the assortment in order to achieve growth and profitability
  • Work closely with Agribusiness commercial and branch teams to drive cross-channel growth in operating profit and improved customer experience


Key Requirements:

  • Experience in running a successful ecommerce channel
  • Proven ability to execute against commercial plans and targets
  • Scaling and development of an eCommerce business
  • Deep knowledge of digital trends across industries
  • Strong analytical skillset & ability to effectively evaluate data and generate insightful reports
