The opportunity

A vacancy has arisen for the role of Business Analyst SAP WM/IM. This position sits within the Global SCM Systems COE team and reports into the Lead Business Analyst, Inventory Management & Logistics.

  • Gain an understanding of the Glanbia SAP processes, configuration and enhancement points for Warehouse Management (WM), Inventory Management (IM) and Logistics Execution (LE) modules across our various divisions, including integration design with key 3PL providers.
  • Design, develop and deliver enhancements in the form of specific mini-projects and change requests in the SAP WM / IM and 3PL integration areas.
  • Participate in an WM/IM consultant role on multiple (and sometimes concurrent) implementation and continuous improvement projects, including:
    • Delivering SAP WM and IM build activities including configuration, investigation of enhancement points and definition of technical programming specifications, design of 3PL integration points including technical design and interaction with third party providers etc.
    • Defining and supervising WM/IM SAP testing cycles, and training material preparation.
    • Cut-over planning and execution for the WM/IM area and providing initial high-attention post-live support.
    • Delivering hand-over of SAP WM/IM design to application support team post project.
  • Provide SAP knowledge in the functional areas of Warehouse Management, Inventory Management and Logistics Execution to respond to business requirements, and to contribute to continuous improvement to Glanbia’s SAP implementations.
  • Provide assistance to the Application Support team in the resolution of complex support calls escalated by them.

 

The skills you will bring to the team

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in hands-on project implementation roles within SAP WM and IM modules (i.e. in addition to any time in SAP support roles).
  • Experience in a WM/IM role in at least two full-cycle implementations.
  • Experience and proven ability of implementing SAP WM in a dynamic pick and pack environment
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP WM put-away, picking and replenishment strategies.
  • Experience with inbound delivery using SPED and IDOC functionality.
  • Basic knowledge in Logistics Execution (including Batch Management), and Finance (including integration to PA value fields and to FI postings). Experience of working with Cross-company and inter-company processes.
  • Experience of designing and implementing iDoc,,ALE and RFC interfaces to 3PL providers, including development of technical specifications and development / testing co-ordination with third party providers. Ideally experience working with SAP PI integration platform.
  • Experience of activating and modifying WM and IM transactions on hand-held devices via SAP console.
  • Knowledge of debugging ABAP code and working with SAP enhancement points around user exits, custom routines, forms, and interfaces.
  • NOTE: Glanbia has migrating to S4 HANA. Any experience on SAP LE/IM/WM in an S4 HANA environment, while not essential, but would be of interest.
