You will be responsible to plan, execute and evaluate all relevant off trade activities for brick & mortar as well as for online trade (specialties and general online). Additionally you will support the Head of Marketing in setting up the yearly strategy plan in regards to channel specific requirements. Your daily routines will include execution and tracking of activation concepts on the basis of the marketing and channel strategy plans, including the development of customer specific sales documents and marketing collateral in cooperation with external agencies as well as the international brand and trade marketing teams.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Drive spontaneous purchase decision by better visibility at POS, build on the respective DMS elements of our brands within all relevant on and off line channels via:
    • Development of trade marketing collateral, i.e. posters, wobbler, shelf displays, banners, displays and display cartons In collaboration with external agencies, as well as central teams
    • Ensure close collaboration with and timely delivery of all materials to our trade partners
  • Promotional planning
    • Preparation of promotional plan with account managers and marketing in line with strategic priorities for the region
    • Develop and execute 1st in class trade and image promotions with external partners or ensure proper localisation of global developments
    • Post-performance ROI analysis 
    • Provide our trade partners with generic marketing collateral to support their own efforts to drive growth of our brands
    • Ensure close collaboration between sales and marketing to maximize effectiveness of their respective activities
  • Support brand / commercial team with
    • Co-development / respectively translation of all relevant trade materials, incl. trade brochures, product descriptions, incl. A+ content, flyers etc.
    • Maximize ROI of our activities through detailed analysis to improve sales, trade spend, efficiency, portfolio mix, etc.
    • Identify category growth opportunities within the sector and build supporting business case
    • Setting up and execution of trade fairs and events
  • General support functions
    • Track & report the trade marketing budget incl. DD&A
    • Collect and analyse market and competitor data and activities
    • Regular competitor price and portfolio analysis to support own price and portfolio strategy
    • Support Head of marketing in setting up the yearly brand plans

Skills, Know How and experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in trade marketing, preferably FMCG environment
  • Experience in developing marketing collateral for all off-trade channels incl. displays, trade brochures, etc.
  • Ability to set up, execute and track promotional activities
  • Strong commercial outlook and an ability to drive revenue growth through marketing
  • In depth knowledge on Excel, Tableau, SASS and Nielsen
  • Passion for the sports nutrition industry
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and ambitious
  • Experience in standard setting and influencing cross functionally
  • KPI setting and measurement.
