The role of the Key Account Manager is to execute the commercial plan in independent sports nutrition retailers and independent gyms across the UK maximising sales and visibility of GPN brands. This is a compelling opportunity for a National Account Executive or Business Development Executive to grow their career in an exciting category, with significant scope for future growth.

The opportunity where you will make an impact:

  • Achievement of Sales, Distribution and display targets against agreed KPI’s.
  • Drive sales fundamentals.
  • Develop strong Customer relationships across UK.
  • Grow and protect top 20 SNR’s (Sports Nutrition Retailers).
  • Develop accounts towards a perfect store/gym concept.
  • Identify and unlock new distribution opportunities.
  • Maximise brand presence in trade.
  • Work effectively with Key Partners to ensure sales orders processed efficiently.
  • Identify new customers across both gyms and SNRs.
  • Drive compliance to Preferred Retailer Programme KPI’s with existing customers, leveraging distributor data reports to track progression vs KPIs.
  • Build JBP strategy for independent gyms.
  • Provide on-going feedback to Central Team to help evolve strategy.
  • Support key customers in the re-merchandising of planograms where required.
  • Sell in NPD and deliver against targeted distribution levels.
  • Full participation in support of regional sponsorships and trade engagement programmes.
  • Lead / Facilitate Category & Brand Training within key retailers / gyms / affiliations.

  • Proven track record in direct sales.
  • Ability to overcome objections and close a sale there and then.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and personal organisation skills.
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and effectively.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Interest in and knowledge of sports and performance nutrition.
  • Administration skills.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Learning agility and flexibility.
  • Comfortable presenting results both internally and externally.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a desire to progress and build a career within the sports and performance nutrition category.
