Reporting to the GPN Americas Vice President of Sales – FDMNV, this Director of Sales is accountable for sales performance across multiple brands and categories within Northeast Food retailers, wholesalers and managing broker partner relationships.

 

 

 

  • Lead teams of Customer Business Managers.
    • Lead responsibility to build direct team expanding with growth and acquisition.
    • Collaborates cross-functionally on key business decisions with other functional leaders across commercial, supply chain, finance and other.
    • Build strong teams capable of turning category insights and direction-setting into plans that deliver growth and profit expectations.
    • Coach, mentor and develop as needed, direct reports and relevant teams members.
  • Build effective broker strategy and approach to support and extend team.
    • Establish broker expectations, educate brokers on GPN plans, and create process to periodically review progress against results.
    • Build sustainable model and relationships
  • Able to reach into the organization to drive customer agenda as needed
  • Direct customer development and planning in assigned customers and/ or geographies.
    • Create and execute customer plans to deliver GPN expectations of growth and profit.
    • Review monthly and quarterly business performance and building plans to address variances, identify risks and opportunities and constructively move the business forward.
    • Implement disciplined trade management policies, practices and workflows to drive compliance, efficiency, timely planning and accurate execution of customer facing activity.
    • Build strategic and operational relationships with customer decision-makers.
  • Provide thought partnership and market feedback with relevant functions (Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) to ensure customers and consumers are served.

 

 

Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience with demonstrated ability to manage and develop sales and customer focused teams.
  • History of P&L ownership with food retailers, including broker partners, and leading strategic planning.
  • Savvy and future-focused leader with deep sales experience across a broad range of customers and channels; highly adept at cultivating and growing large strategic customer partnerships; skillful and experienced in joint business planning.
  • Nurtures a diverse and inclusive environment while treating everyone with dignity and respect while embracing the Glanbia Values culture.
  • 4 year Bachelor's degree

 

 

 

The Director of Sales – NE will play a key role in the development of the newly created GPN FDMNV team. You will own customer engagement and senior customer relationships. The role is accountable for sales strategy and execution across multiple brands and categories while delivering operating profits.
