Role Profile
As Material Requirements Planner (MRP) the primary activity is to ensure that the ingredients and packaging requirements meet a time-phased finished goods production schedule and are present when required based on advanced knowledge of production. The role requires working closely with internal and external parties, maintaining adequate stock levels, all while trying to maintain efficiency and costs.
The MRP planner reports to the Consumer Production Manager and will be located between Abbey Quarter and Balitore
Responsibilities
• Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials
• Maintain Adequate stock level to match production
• Maintain accurate system master data
• Routinely review demand vs. supply to manage and communicate supply risks
• Utilise system-based MRP to create and maintain purchase orders to meet production needs at component level
• Liaise with Purchasing to consider external vendor inputs and outputs to determine options for component management regarding hubbing, consignment, Vendor Managed Inventory, lot-sizing arrangements, lead times etc.
Requirements
• Third level qualification in a relevant area such as Supply Chain, Finance or Operations.
• 2+ years’ experience in material planning role
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel
• Experienced in the use of SAP or other ERP systems
• Enthusiastic and energetic attitude.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities
• Analytical and critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
