Job Summary


This role is responsible for supporting all close and reporting activities for the Global Dairy Business Unit, with an emphasis on ensuring the integrity of large sets of data.  Also responsible for ensuring that the required accounting control procedures are in-place and are effective.  Emphasis is on providing timely, relevant and accurate information in a dynamic environment, where accurate information is a key competitive advantage and essential in supporting operational and strategic decision-making.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for supporting the month end close and reporting activities for the Dairy Business Unit, specifically aimed at reporting detailed actual versus budget/forecast and prior year financial information
  • Facilitate the Dairy monthly reporting process in close coordination with Dairy Controller to include timely status updates, identification of reporting issues requiring further analysis/resolution, data reconciliation where required
  • Reconciliation of the general ledger against the profitability analysis ledger, coordinating  with teams based in multiple locations
  • Make/direct corrective postings where necessary
  • Close the books and ensure no errors for multiple company codes
  • Integral part of the planning process (Budgets & Forecasts), including model modification, updating, and analysis, as assigned
  • Cash Flow Forecasting & Working Capital Management: Input to the preparation of cash flow forecasting as required by Group and support the Dairy Controller in ensuring the effective management of working capital
  • Coordinate with Dairy cross-functional teams to analyze reporting anomalies for potential misstatement and/or identification of areas for process improvements



Additional Functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects or action teams



  • Excellent accounting knowledge and accounting skills required.
  • CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (Advanced) Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with ERP database is an advantage (SAP preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in resolving issues. Good follow-up skills.
  • Fluent in English. 
  • Key relationships with Commercial Finance, Central Finance
