Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing raw material specifications to ensure complaint with company requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Approving raw materials and working directly with suppliers to ensure compliance
  • Working with site R&D & Procurement to ensure materials selected for development meet company requirements and legislation in country of sale.
  • Where required raise, investigate and close out concessions related to Raw materials and Packaging.
  • Support manufacturing with ingredient investigations
  • Contribute to the supplier approval process.

 

Skills & experience:

  • Degree or HND in Food technology or equivalent
  • Previous experience in Quality / Technical
  • Level 3 Food Safety or above
  • Flexible and be able to work as part of a team, covering for holidays where needed
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft packages) Understanding of SAP would be beneficial
  • Possess a good verbal and written communication
  • Strong time management and organization skills are essential
  • The ability to work in a fast moving rapidly changing business is essential
