Job Summary


This position will create and complete financial reports for our Springfield, Missouri and Carlsbad, California Operations plants within the Finance department.  The position will evaluate, interpret, and report on an expansive volume of detailed financial data across GN business units and organizational functions.


Essential Functions

  • Responsible for preparing various weekly and monthly analysis as assigned
  • Complete month end closing tasks, including preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations of certain accounts, as assigned
  • Assist with planning process, including preparation of variance reports and commentary
  • Assist with Capital Expenditure review and reporting, as assigned
  • Prepare weekly AP cash forecast and payment schedule
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis and trend information as needed
  • Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements/standardization; manage projects as assigned
  • Interact and partner with finance and operations teams across Springfield and Carlsbad plants.
  • Responsible for cross-training on Standard Costing and Inventory reporting
  • Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance and three years related experience.
  • CPA license or equivalent professional license preferred.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
