Senior Accounts Receivable Officer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable & Administration Officer to become the next member of our team! Reporting through to the local Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the administrative and procedural requirements for the distribution and payment of Glanbia product are met on a daily basis. You will be a contributing member of the distribution office and finance teams to the achievement of sales growth, profit and market share through the sale of product whilst providing outstanding levels of customer service through the management of the accounts receivable function. The role will include:

 

  • Collection calls & correspondence & negotiating repayments
  • Monitoring & maintaining customer account reconciliations & resolving disputes
  • Applying ad-hoc customer credits - deductions, discounts, rebates etc.
  • File and maintain appropriate records in compliance with credit policy
  • Adhere to policies & procedures to achieve DSO & cash targets & minimise write offs
  • New account & master data set-up
  • Review accounts on credit hold and release new orders, sales order on hold reviews
  • Regular review of overdue debtors – ensure strong DSO/Aged debt performance and minimal bad and doubtful debt
  • Aged debt report reviews
  • Liaising with legal & collection agencies as required.
  • Conduct monthly metrics review with local business management
  • Performing credit checks and processing credit application for new customers
  • Assisting Finance manager to make any adjustments to Bad Debt provisioning.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders via email and over the phone
  • Guide customers with ongoing support and provide the right contact within the company when either technical or product expertise is required
  • Operate within the guidelines of the pricing policy and quotation authority limits
  • Additional customer service and general administration relief duties as required
     

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Proven Accounts Receivable experience in a high volume environment with strong numerical skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience and ability to manage communications across various levels including the ability to negotiate and escalate where necessary
  • Strong administration skills including data entry and Intermediate analytical skills
  • Intermediate  - Word, strong Excel including financial functions, Outlook, SAP
  • The ability to multi task in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • Highly organised, with strong time management skills
  • A strong team player, willing to support and encourage fellow team mates
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
  • Adaptable in an exciting and fast growing business
  • Knowledge of Billing and Collections processes
