The opportunity where you will make an impact:

 

As part of this role, the Business Manager – Online Channel, will be responsible for driving the exponential growth agenda for eCommerce business in India. The person will be responsible for the channel P&L, managing and strengthening relationships with Amazon, Flipkart and other Key Customers including eCommerce National Distributor. The role will also require close collaboration with Key Internal Stakeholders across functions like Marketing, Supply Chain & Finance. The candidate needs to have a sound understanding of managing Trade Spends. The ideal candidate should have proven success working in a fast-paced start-up environment and an in-depth understanding of eCommerce business drivers including performance marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Annual Topline in line with company objectives
  • Deliver the growth ambition along with category share as part of Business KPIs
  • Drive the distributor S&OP and work with the distributor sales & ops team to deliver the Annual Operative Plans and Performance Scorecard.
  • Develop ecommerce sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets for next 3-5 years.
  • Lead Annual JBP process, across all Key Accounts & build WIN-WIN partnerships
  • Spearhead growth of the e-commerce business by implementing new initiatives for consumer acquisition, loyalty and retention campaigns.
  • Track and Monitor ROI of spends (Activity – Cost – ROI model) on trade and customer marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to define category-specific strategies and prioritize campaigns across various marketing channels.
  • Identifying new ideas and practices to increase site traffic, thereby increasing the potential opportunity for increased product sales.
  • Pioneer and create new opportunities with ecommerce accounts in grocery, online pharmacy,
  • subscription based portals
  • Coordinate with partners on product pricing, inventory, weekly offers / discounts, promotional strategies and actionable insights from weekly competition analysis. P&L responsibility with ownership to drive key business metrics (Conversion, GMV, ASP, Returns, Cancellations, Margins etc).
  • Partner closely with Finance and SC team on demand forecasting to enable better serviceability and drive overall operational efficiency
  • Prepare and present the monthly performance as part of the MBR (Monthly Business Review) to India Leadership Team.

 

 

What you will bring to GPN:

 

  • 10 years’+ experience in a sales / category role preferably within eCommerce, MBA preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and sophisticated analytical tools including good understanding of performance marketing tools.
  • Experience of working in a high growth and fast-paced organization.
  • Persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take new challenges.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with eCommerce portals and Key Resellers
  • Effective influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills together with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Numbers and data savvy with experience of sales automation to monitor business performance
