This role will work closely with the Head Marketing, India & Middle East to develop key initiatives and drive goals dealing with media planning, promotional management, advertising and content development, branding, working with agencies to manage events and influencers and leading the P&L of one of the largest sports nutrition brands in the world. The incumbent will be working closely with Glanbia’s regional and global marketing team to launch new mixes in India. He/She will be responsible for the coordination of marketing programs planned for the Glanbia Performance Nutrition brand – Optimum Nutrition (ON) in India, ensuring smooth and successful execution.

The opportunity where you will make an impact:

  • Creative brief development and working with BTL, PR, event management agencies to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Lead the development of advertising material across multiple media platforms in line with brand objectives.
  • Competitor and customer insights analysis; analysis of sales forecasts and relevant financials and reporting on product sales.
  • Lead in planning and managing the sponsored teams and athletes, e.g., handling athlete monthly product allocations, printing athlete gears, coordinating athlete duties in events, sampling & demonstrations as well as liaising with US team on approvals.
  • Drive the ongoing management of the Optimum Nutrition India website and Social Platforms such as Facebook pages - Work closely with the digital agency to coordinate athlete contributions/interviews/photo & video shoots etc.
  • Develop Digital Strategy including e-commerce and Social Media platforms with clear strategy for future growth.
  • Leverage global teams to develop tailored brand strategies for India across ON.
  • Assisting with product development, pricing and new product launches as well as developing new business opportunities.
  • Work with sales and key customers to develop POS solutions and all sampling material requirements
  • Working with agencies to execute demos/sampling activities including occasional weekend and after-hours.
  • Partner with regional sales, route to market and e commerce team to devise key customer activations.
  • Planning, execution and tracking of new product launches.
  • Working with third party providers on gift with purchase procurement, POS and other collateral.

 

 

What you will bring to GPN:

 

We are looking for a commercially astute, digital savvy, insights-led, brand marketer who is passionate about the sports nutrition industry. Specifically, we are seeking an experienced marketer to develop and deliver ‘Best In class’ brand strategy anchored into deep consumer insights and executed through strong brand building innovations.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Brand awareness – a clear understanding of the 6Ps of the marketing mix.
  • Strong track record in brand management, developing creatives, managing networks pertaining to pack or communication changes.
  • Good Project Management skills and ability to influence without authority to deliver goals on time
  • Good with numbers and data driven. Has the ability to analyse market trends, internal sales data and work within budget guidelines.
  • Hands on experience in running campaigns on Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Creative appreciation & knowledge of consumer trends.
  • Results oriented and shows initiative.
  • Good cross functional team building skills, agency handling and networking skills.
  • Is able to prioritize between multiple work-streams.
  • Is persistent and resilient in the pursuit of objectives, willing to take on new challenges and works to resolve issues.
  • Can effectively navigate complexity and ambiguity.
  • Strong influencing skills across a culturally diverse group of people and markets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, analytical and persuasion skills.

 

Education/Experience:

  • MBA from Tier I B-school.
  • Overall 7+ years experience with a minimum of 4 years in brand management in a reputed FMCG /consumer focused industries. We are also open to look at candidates who come from a creative agency background and have done account management for 3-4 years.
  • Prior experience of having worked on brands and involved in creating an Integrated Brand Communication plan; making concept cards.
  • Experience in managing external creative, digital and media agencies.
  • Experience in reading reports from AC Nielsen, IMRB and drawing customer/consumer insights post mining data.
  • Prior experience in trade negotiations is preferred.
