Inventory Control Supervisor

General Summary:  Responsible for overseeing all inventory control process and activities at 3PL warehouses.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures consistent compliance with all policies and procedures related to cycle counting and inventory control procedures at 3PL warehouse locations.
  • Ensures that 3PLs adhere to work methods and procedures set by GPN to meet inventory accuracy targets/goals and works with 3PL management teams to correct all deficiencies.
  • Prepares and submits daily, weekly or monthly activity, variance and KPI reports as required.
  • Daily management of the Inventory Comparison report; perform investigations and necessary adjustments.
  • Daily review and resolution of failed IDocs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address issues that impact inventory.
  • Review status differences, quantity differences, storage location differences and batch difference information between 3PLs and GPN system.
  • Review receiving activity of POs, STOs, stock in transit and shipping activities that impact inventory accuracy of finished goods and materials.
  • Manage inventory in Blocked Stock- S block status and execute MDA’s in SharePoint for damages and expired inventory in S block status.
  • Support book to book reconciliations and full physical inventories at 3PLs and co-mans when required; in and out of state travel may be required.
  • Assigns, directs, and measures the work of direct reports and staff members.
  • Provides support to Logistics Operation team to ensure that all receiving and shipping activities are carried out correctly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  •  
  • Knowledge of receiving, shipping, warehousing and inventory control procedures.
  • Good mathematic, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to positively interact with cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to adapt to continuously changing environments.
  • GMP compliance.
  • Understanding of  SAP Inventory Control modules and reporting

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of skill development and work experience.
  • Successfully demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience using a WMS or ERP system with RF scanning. and SAP experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite (especially word and excel)
