The Channel Manager, Korea is responsible for the management and growth of existing and future key customers in the e-commerce channel as well as key bricks-and-mortar accounts including Costco and emart. This role is responsible for maintaining long term relationships and maximizing business development opportunities within Korea market. The Channel Manager is responsible for delivering sales growth and strategic business plans focusing on increased distribution, consumer demand and further development of the major e-commerce retail relationships as well as supporting distributors in the development of action plans in the e-commerce channel.


The opportunity where you will make an impact:
•Work closely with all existing and new retailers and develop marketing strategies to grow sales and monitor execution efficacy
•Lead and support channel distributors’ business execution
•Identify new initiatives and strategies to increase site traffic, thereby increasing the potential opportunity for increased product sales
•Coordinate with sales and marketing to develop and manage of all trade and consumer marketing promotional items and resources
•Responsible for executing trade marketing spending and driving optimal Return-on-Investment (ROI)
•Consolidate and analyse monthly sell-out and pricing information for given online retailers and also competitors
•Monitor competitive pricing across all online retailers for authorized and un-authorized sellers
•Customize and manage content along with social media campaigns for the respective retailers
•Co-ordinate supply chain from official importer to the respective retailers and track fill rates
•Co-work with regional and US functional teams and counterparts, such as finance, demand, supply, and marketing etc.
•Understand, identify and support development of systems improvement with all portals, thereby improving the customer experience
•Customize and manage content for all ecommerce portals (Gmarket, 11 street, Auction, Store farm, Interpark, and others) and brand shopping mall
•Co-ordinate the logistics for stocks / inventory / gifts with purchase / product bundling between the importer and the ecommerce portals for effective operations


What you will bring to GPN:
•Strong English to deal with peers internationally
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Strong field sales experience especially in online business, 80% of business is online
•3 + years e-commerce experience specialising in consumer goods in Korea and Japan
•Skills in driving business development and category penetration
•Ability to work with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment
•Demonstrated delivery of sales targets, budget development and tracking, and demand forecasting
•Effective influencing, negotiating and relationship building skills together with excellent English and native written and verbal communication skills
•Knowledge of trade marketing and brand activation preferably with an international brand focus
•Passionate about sports, health and fitness and familiar with sports nutrition supplementation
•Experience in managing and developing Key Accounts
•Experience in developing and executing retail programs – online preferred   
•Strong sales management and trade marketing (commercialization) experience from CPG, retail environments
•Experience managing distributors and implementing key business initiatives
•Experience managing BTL marketing executions including brand awareness & activations in-store, POS – sampling and event
