The South Korea Marketing Manager will be responsible for the brand revenue and equity growth through the delivery of efficient and effective brand marketing programmes, delivering world-class campaigns, developing the annual brand plans, devising the local athlete/ influencer strategy and local partnerships, creating impactful locally relevant consumer communications, and identifying opportunities to continue driving brand awareness and brand love.

 

The opportunity:

  • Develop the GPN marketing strategy and annual brand for the South Korea market, working closely with the Country Manager and the Asia Brand Director.
  • Plan, drive and execute in-market marketing activities and programmes for the assigned brands in South Korea, aligned to the 1-year brand plan.
  • Devise the influencer/athlete strategy for the South Korea market, proposing, sourcing, and managing a list of locally relevant influencers and brand ambassadors, engaging and engage frequently with them for high-quality content creation.      
  • Manage the social media strategy for key platforms (Meta, YouTube, Tik Tok and others), aligned to the brand strategy and driving strong awareness, engagement, and conversion through a diverse content pool of locally relevant content.
  • Drive strong visibility of the assigned brands through tactical partnerships, and targeted sampling initiatives.
  • Ensure strong in-store presence with impactful POSMs, strong promotional mechanics, exclusive premiums and more.
  • Plan, monitor and review the marketing budget and ensure to maximise the dollars, driving non-working spend down where applicable, finding cost effective ways to create locally relevant assets.
  • Work on the launch of new products with strong and impactful campaigns, e.g., new flavour extensions.

 

What you will bring to GPN:

  • Bachelors/University degree, with a focus on Marketing/ Advertising/ Communications. Open to other specializations with relevant experience.
  • Experience in developing and launching content strategies, consumer communication campaigns and integrated marketing programmes.
  • Candidates with exposure and a strong network within the fitness and wellness industry preferred.
  • Ability to understand and convert consumer, category, competitor and channel/customer insights into brand strategy and plans.
  • Analytical acumen and the ability to work with insights and data.
  • Successful track record, with a strong passion and good creative eye for developing brands through impactful storytelling.
  • Resourceful, proactive, energetic and passionate individual with a strong ambition to make a difference and create an impact.
  • Strong networker and communicator with good reporting and presentation skills.
  • Can-do attitude and willing to step out of their comfort zone, able to work autonomously but also a strong team player.
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills in managing/influencing teams including agency partners.
