The General Manager of Greater China will maintain and expand relationships with strategically important large customers. Overseeing project management of NPD initiatives in China and working with the wider business in Asia Pacific region and global operations teams to optimize the entire supply chain process, to execute regulatory efforts partnering with the global Regulatory Affairs team and third parties.  Provide strategic consultation to the Commercial team on their go-to-market strategies, prioritization of focus growth channels, recruitment and selection of distribution partners to drive organic business growth across China. Key responsibilities include - Strategic Commercial and Marketing Management; Financial Management; Supply Chain Operations/Regulatory Affairs; Talent Management & Development.

 

The Successful Candidate should have:

  • Strong aptitude and analytic skills to see the big picture and craft strategic plans with an Entrepreneurial business building mindset. 
  • Min 12 years of excellent track record in Commercial within a FMCG/CPG related environment. 
  • Possess strong commercial acumen and ability to manage P/L, building new brands, sales channels with a focus on B2C.
  • Demonstrated excellent working knowledge and understanding of trade marketing, distribution and sales channels with a multi-tiered customer channel approach to sales. 
  • Able to lead a successful team in a fast paced, startup environment.
  • Drive success and profitability of the business in a highly competitive product focused industry.
  • Work fluidly across geographic boundaries and build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and competently service a diverse customer base.
  • Understand regional customer and consumer behavior including key drivers for success in those markets.
  • Customizes sales and marketing strategies to connect with customers in local markets, and increase market shares.
  • Influence Senior Management to make potentially substantial investments within the region for which you are responsible.
  • Individual must have strong collaboration and influencing skills (People Management Experience).
  • Must be willing and able to roll up their sleeves managing projects across the Business.
  • Extensive exposure in FMCG or Consumers Goods experience having working with both direct and distributor based models.
  • Focus from all relevant areas of the business (Commercial, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and HR).
  • To work closely with the distribution function to ensure all products are delivered as required by the customer, including forecasting to meet demands.
