The HR Business Partner - Asia fulfils an important role in partnering and supporting the Regional Director of Asia and the Asia leadership team through providing strategic leadership in developing and executing the human resources strategy for the Asia region.  This role will effectively manage all facets of the HR function in a dynamic and fast growing business. Operating out of the Singapore Office, this role is key to directing and driving the implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives and component activities of the Human Resources department, working to ensure HR programs and initiatives are supporting organizational goals and objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor and counsels senior management on HR issues and programs.  This individual possesses strong knowledge of business operations and people practices to promote the company’s strategic priorities, culture, mission and values.  This position directly participates in organizational planning and decision making as a member of the Human Resources and Functional leadership teams.  The person will have strong leadership and influencing capabilities within a matrix organization.


The opportunity where you will make an impact:

  • Builds relationships and becoming a trusted HR partner to the senior leadership team across the business.
  • Partners with GM and HR VP to agree, develop and implement HR strategy that enables the growth plans of the business.
  • Play key role on operating model design ensuring fit for purpose organizational structure in the region to support delivery of the strategy.
  • Own the talent agenda for the region building strong talent pipeline and improving internal fill rate as well as achieving D&I targets.
  • Ensure high quality development plans in place and retention plans for high potential talent. 
  • Develop a strong EVP locally that attracts high calibre talent
  • Ensure strong engagement plans in place aimed at driving retention and unlocking high performance across the team.
  • Develop and implement talent agenda that build pipeline and career development opportunities for internal talent.
  • Create and execute a D&I strategy in the region that meets global goals.
  • Manage the external recruitment of all key hires with support from the TA team.
  • Manage employee relations strategies to minimize and mediate workplace disputes, and to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Recommends and participates in the development of policies and procedures.
  • May serve on planning and policy-making teams/committees within GPN and Global Glanbia.
  • Accountability for overall Statutory Compliance.
  • Ownership of company values and ability to drive culture through OD initiatives creating a motivating working environment.
  • Oversee payroll and compliance management, including remuneration reviews and oversight of the company entitlements and benefits in the region.
  • Oversee management of the company HRIS including leaves and attendance management, reporting and metrics.
  • Being accountable for specific HR projects and providing operational support as required.

What you will bring to GPN:

  • Dynamic HR Partner- with  7 years’ + HR managerial experience, preferably within a fast paced  global MNC organisation in FMCG, CPG
  • Educated to degree/MBA level in business and/or HRM preferable
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and a demonstrated ability to provide solutions in a complex and fast moving environment
  • Experience working with a senior leadership team providing high level advice on org design, capability, performance and complex ER/IR issues
  • Expertise in OD, talent management, employee engagement and D&I highly valued.
  • Proven track record of successful experience working across a complex, global organization with other business partners
  • Experience in facilitating training; ability to coach employees and teams
  • Experience in recruitment and innovative talent attraction and retention strategizing including reporting, HR administration, training, inductions and on boarding
  • Experience in payroll management and understanding of the contributing complexities
  • Strong conflict management skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have had previous experience preparing PowerPoint presentations
